Back at Namsan Tower, this time with my Nikon D3400 in hand. During my first trip in 2024, I had only captured the tower with my phone. In March 2026, I wanted to do it justice with a proper camera body.
The Nikon D3400 is an excellent choice for getting started in travel photography: lightweight, easy to pick up, and the results speak for themselves. You don’t need a professional camera to capture beautiful images - you just need to be in the right place at the right time.
The hike up through the trails of Namsan Park remains one of my favorite moments in Seoul. In March, the trees are still bare, giving a distinctive atmosphere - more raw, more graphic. The tower stands out sharply against the sky, without the foliage that partially hides it in summer.
From the summit, the 360° view of Seoul is still just as impressive. You can make out the Lotte World Tower in the distance, the Han River winding through, and the immensity of this megacity of 10 million inhabitants.
